Project Overview
My wife is a content creator. And if you imagine someone just writing some bullshit, mediocre content we often see across many websites, this is exactly what she does not do.
She breathes and feels the text; her knowledge on topics makes every voice humble very quickly. Authoring texts for more than two decades, she is a true wordsmith extraordinaire. And to top this - the reason I decided to contact her and then we met and became a couple - yes, one of her texts was involved in these shenanigans.
She had a blog way back in time with an artistic pseudonym - Estrella. These were passionate times, and I remember them - forums, mIRC chats, personal blogs - these were the times of the true internet explorers and conquerors, bravely walking through the marvellous internet fields on their Internet Explorer 6 browsers.
So, when she came to me one evening and told me, "Hey, I want to make my own media," I was really excited. For long years, this media was a subdomain of her writing brand (just like this very blog is now, hah), but ultimately, we also got lucky and domain estrella.bg became available - we didn't think twice and grabbed it.
The site is nothing special, except that it holds true thoughts and texts from my dear wife, a special place she can go to anytime and express what makes her tick without needing to be constrained or to weigh her every word. And that's a freedom safely maintained by the ITWS infrastructure.
Key technical decisions:
- WordPress: Classic WordPress platform with a ready theme, some additional enhancements, caching, and SEO pumping up.
