Here we go - opening a new chapter in 2026
Sitting at my desk at home, sipping some coffee, I watch with a satisfied smirk at my latest creation: a personal blog. It's a completely static site created with Nuxt 4, utilising the latest modern technologies you can imagine. Yes, I used that word intentionally because I plan to write more freely in this personal space.
So, why the excitement? I've wanted to do this for a few years now. I wanted a platform where I truly own my content, without having to worry about where it was published last, which "social platform" norms I need to adjust to, or who will read it. At the same time, it is a perfect portfolio opportunity, and a place I can share personal and team projects.
Then comes the opportunity to "push myself" in writing, something I wanted to do since I tossed it around in my 20s. I really loved to write short novels and stories (and I might publish here some old and new stuff)!
Ultimately, this was a test to see how I can leverage the latest AI capabilities and turn some very good domain names I have owned for years into ultra-fast knowledge bases, shops, and affiliate places, and for this, I needed a truly versatile solution.
Now, a quick note on why this first post is labeled "a new chapter". Oddly enough, a new chapter does not mean I am burning all the bridges. It means I am really planning to leverage all my skills in 2026 with the clear goal to make a ridiculous amount of profit until 2030, when I will be in my 50s. And while I fully understand this will be a private task, I want to remind myself daily through posts, and by actually manifesting each one of the projects I am working on publicly, so I can achieve this.
Will this work out? I dunno, but I want to try it. and my experience shows, that whatever I take on I usually succeed, so why not combine my skills, persistence and discipline in pushing my boundaries in the next few years?
