Project Overview
We have worked with Delve and their team for over a decade. As a performance media agency, I have had the pleasure of working on various types of projects, but on this page, the focus will be on their website. Over the years, their website has transformed from a business card to an educational platform with hundreds of articles, and now to a crafted, focused, and insightful hub, with a podcast that hosts some of the most important faces in the US charity industry.
The website follows the brand's latest corporate identity, with a clear, concise structure and a hyper-focus on the company's core goals at the moment. While it may look minimalistic, the website contains balanced Lottie animations that give focus and weight to some of the important aspects of the site. The design was created by the talented Al Rotches, and the content - by the fascinating Matt Cramer
The site has solid analytics and marketing layers, which are common for such projects, as it is advertised throughout different platforms.
Key technical decisions:
- LAMP Stack: Required for a standard WordPress website. For hosting, we're using WP Engine, which performs well and offers flexibility, security, and automation for a variety of processes.
- Custom WordPress theme: We always build our themes ourselves, eliminating unnecessary bloat by removing redundant scripts and plugins that might be vulnerable yet never used, adding specific, unique options, and crafting just the right Gutenberg blocks the site may need.
- GSAP animations: We use very light, balanced scroll animations with GSAP to enhance the user experience.
- Lottie Animations: While GSAP is great for complex website animations, for elements that are not planned to change over time, we have chosen Lottie animations to ensure a consistent look and feel and smooth animations. Using vectors primarily, the effect is catchy and good-looking on all screens.
- HubSpot Integration: HubSpot is a central place for Delvedeeper to manage and nurture their B2B clients, to provide educational materials and email funnels. We were glad to provide our expertise in seamlessly blending the website design into HubSpot via custom-designed forms.
This way Delve focuses on what does best - performance marketing and has on the background a very solid and streamlined foundation to attract new customers via podcasts, events, and case studies, positioning them as a lider in Performace, and with focus on the NGO sector.
