Nuxt - a powerhouse enabled for enterprise applications in the AI era

In the next few months, I expect more and more buzz around Agentic Enterprise Coding. If you have not heard already, this is and will be the new black in development.

I’m experimenting with increasing the productivity and quality of the systems we develop from day one.

Almost a decade ago, Vue was the logical choice as a preferred framework. Clean and organised, with elegant templating and separation of concerns, it was something React will never be, and it isn't up to date. I won't even discuss Angular after they took a turn towards the dark side with their 1.45 version.

Half a decade ago, I was coding interactive games, hybrid mobile apps, and SPAs with Vue. Nuxt was gaining traction. And don't get me wrong - there was a lot of drama along the road:

  1. Vue is moving away from the options API.
  2. Nuxt's major architectural upgrade thus makes version upgrades a nightmare.
  3. Composition API vulnerabilities and so on.

But as said, let's let the first person who has never experienced any issues with a framework or programming language be the first to throw a stone!

Over the decades of solving issues the major painpoint was never whether there will be or not be any problems. It was the general outcome, the ability to orchestrate multiple projects and achieve business excellence. And Nuxt become more and more viable solution despite some glitches. And theee glitches actually pushed the whole development much farther.

One of the major issues I faced with the framework when I started to use heavily OpenAI and after this IDEs like Cursor, Windsurf etc. was the simple fact the whole stack was moving pretty fast and the LLMs couldn’t catch up. Code was infused with options API code and old Nuxt 2 architecture.

I had to reiterate my prompts or rewrite my code. On some point In had not per project but per stack guardrails. Ironucally this played super important role in present development of AI Engineering.

With the development of Claude Code and it's daily optimizations I was able to create a simple framework with clear definition of feature requests, tasks, reviews aligned to my much simpler, faster and effective development process.

This engineering optimization led to speed increase between x5 and x8 as a speed of development. Still without the accumulation of knowledge and several reworks of the authentic framework this would be impossible.

So right now I am envisioning the next few months that will turn several businesses upside down and give the most significant leverage to small but capable development companies - to stand face to face with larger - 10-100-1000 people companies and outperform them with knowledge, early AI Enterprise coding standards and reliability from battle-tested one-stack products and frameworks.

article I will explain the framework parts of Claude Code setup that enables such transition as well how I coded gradinka.org with complex logic, gsmification, map tracing and polygon drawing and a detailed audit trail for around 20 hours - end to end from idea and some old designs to a fully functional system.

What I envision is that Nuxt will champion modern development in n the era of AI.
